Websites, Google visibility and automation, Los Gatos, California

Pourya Shahroudi

I can build a small business a fast website, get it found on Google and in AI assistants, and automate the repetitive parts of its week. Outside that I build and publish software of my own, and I have spent fourteen years writing software that other people depend on.

Services

Three things I offer small businesses

A fast website, showing up on Google and in AI assistants, and automating the repetitive parts of the week. Email me with what takes up your time, and I will tell you plainly what is worth automating and what is not.

  • Website

    A fast website

A page for each service or product, a quote or contact form, and structured data so search engines and AI assistants read it correctly.

  • Visibility

    Found on Google

Search Console and Business Profile, set up and kept current, with changes judged afterwards by whether they worked.

  • Automation

    The week, automated

Monitoring that tells you when your site breaks and when it is back, a weekly summary, and drafts of replies and posts that wait for your approval.

Projects

Things I built and run

Each one is live and can be looked at. The services above are the same work, done to order.

Taqvim, a Persian calendar for Chrome and Edge

A browser extension, published in 2026

ShowsA published product, tests on every push, no network requests

A Jalali calendar with Gregorian and Hijri date conversion and Iranian public holidays. All of its data ships inside the extension, so it makes no network requests and asks only for the storage and alarms permissions.

  • Chrome Web Store
  • Edge Add-ons
  • Source on GitHub, MIT

The project page

labouchee.us, the website of a made-to-order French bakery in Los Gatos

A static site and the automation behind it, since December 2024

ShowsA fast site with structured data, and routine work handled by code

I built the site and have run its technical side since. Scheduled jobs on a small server I host handle the routine work behind it. Where an LLM writes anything, it writes a draft, code checks what it can, and a person approves before it goes out.

  • Static site
  • Structured data on every page
  • LLM drafts, a person approves

How I work

Three rules that hold at work and after it

  1. The check lives in code, ahead of the person

A test that fails the build catches more than a reviewer who has to remember to look. Where a model is involved, code decides which of its answers get through.

    • GryphonAutomated tests fail the build when an environment's configuration is wrong, so a bad configuration is caught before it reaches QA.
    • TaqvimThe extension makes no network requests, and a test fails the build if a stylesheet or the security policy ever points at a server.
  2. A review step before the change ships

When a team's flow has no review step, I bring one in. When a model writes something a customer will read, its draft waits for a person in the same way.

    • GryphonI am leading the move from TFS to Git and designing the branching and deployment process that goes with it, which will bring pull requests to a team that has never had them.
    • labouchee.usWhere an LLM drafts anything for the site, a person approves it before it goes out, and page changes arrive as pull requests.
  3. Measure the outcome, then decide

A system's report on itself is not evidence. I measure against what actually happened.

    • This siteLighthouse put the Google-hosted fonts at about 1.4 s of render blocking, so they now come from the site itself. First paint on a phone went from 3.1 s to 1.7 s.

The notes go into cases like these at more length.

About

Fourteen years of software, in four industries

I have been writing software for 14 years, across medical imaging, optical networks, network security and now financial services. At my current job I own a .NET and Angular application from design to release, and I was the first engineer there to bring in AI-assisted development.
