Website design for Bay Area small businesses
A website that loads fast on a phone, says what you sell and where, and makes it easy for a customer to reach you. I am based in Los Gatos and build websites for small and medium businesses across the Bay Area.

What you get
What goes into the site
-
A page for each thing you sell
Someone looking for one service or product lands on the page about it, and search engines get a clear page to show for that search.
-
Fast on a phone
Static pages with no database to wait for and no plugins to keep patched.
-
An easy way to reach you
A quote or contact form, built around what you need to know before you reply.
-
Your details in a form search engines read
Structured data on every page states your name, address, phone number and hours, so search engines and AI assistants read them without guessing.
Why it matters
What I keep finding on local sites
I ran my free check on 195 business websites in Los Gatos and Campbell. The main content was slow on a simulated phone on 111 of them, and 64 had no structured data. The full findings show the rest, and they are a sample of two towns, so they say nothing certain about yours.
Prices
What it costs
Prices are in US dollars and fixed once we agree on the scope. All the packages are on the services page.
-
New website
$2,500 once
Up to six pages that load fast on a phone, with a contact form and business details for search engines on every page.
It does not include an online store or writing long copy.
-
Site tune-up
$750 once
I fix what the free check finds on your existing site, as far as your host allows, and you get the check run before and after.
It does not include a redesign or new pages.
-
Care plan
$100 a month
Help with your hosting, an alert when your site breaks and when it is back, and small edits.
Larger changes are quoted first.
Sites I built
Two you can open now
This site is built the way I build websites for small businesses. The scores below are Google's Lighthouse on its home page.
labouchee.us, for a made-to-order French bakery in Los Gatos, is a static site I built by hand, with a page for each thing the bakery sells and a quote request form.

Questions
What people usually ask
-
Do I have to replace my current site?
Often not. Run the free check first. If the problems are titles, business details or email records, a tune-up fixes them for less.
-
Do you work outside Los Gatos?
I live in Los Gatos and meet in person anywhere in the Bay Area, across Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties. Everything else can happen by phone, by email or on a call.
-
What should I send you first?
A few lines about your business, your current site if you have one, and what you want more of. I reply with a written note on what is worth doing and what is not.
